He Changed Me

God has blessed me more than I could probably write in the character limit that Brian has given us all. I will say that my life is nothing but a testimony for Christ... let me give you a few examples. At 18 years of age I was fortunate enough to find the love of my life, and she loved me back :) So at 18 her and I became one through marriage. At 18 years of age God gave us the ability to purchase a home (and a pretty nice one at that!) With the odds stacked against us (no money, no credit, all God) we got our first house. God provided the ability for us both to obtain our Associates Degree in our field of choice. Beth went for Graphic Design. Beth heard from pretty much everyone in the world "You won't be able to get into Graphic Design with that degree, make sure you get your bachelors" that, we didn't believe in :) Right before Beth graduated from school (no diploma yet!) God provided her an opportunity to become the first (and only) designer at the company she had been working at for the past 2 years - praise be to Jesus! I went to school for Business Management. I heard much of the same "Gotta get the Bachelors" talk. I was Assistant Manager of a hardware store for about a year, started working at the same place my wife worked, within 5 months I was back in a management position! God moved again in our favor. Ok, last one and I'll wrap it up... Decided in January of 2008 that it was time to sell our house, upgrade to a bigger one (in plans of children) and get closer to work. The realtor warned us the market was bad news, and we need to be prepared to sit on it. We prayed for about 4 months, listening for God to let us know if this was the time, well, it was. We met with the realtor in April and said "We're ready to put the house on the market." She came, I told her what I was putting as the price... she said "That's too high" I said "Nope, this is it, I know it" we signed the papers and the sign was in the yard. Everyone at work gave us the "Good luck" grinning as they walked away knowing we were going to be sitting on it. Many other people did the same and we both, in FAITH said "God will make it happen." In 14 days the house was sold. Now that we have the new one with more space, God has blessed us with a baby girl to come in this world.

God has moved mountains in my life, given me opportunities when everyone else said there weren't any, gave me more when others needed it, and He continues to give me more than I deserve. My testimony is just this "God can do anything." We're all too tied up listening to what non-believers (and sometimes believer) tell us. End of the day God is in control - not me, not you, not the economy, not the President - HIM. He reigns, and He will show favor upon those who seek Him.

General comments about myself - well, I love the Lord. He has blessed me with the most loving/caring/supportive woman to be my partner for the rest of my life. He has also blessed me with the great opportunity o care for one of his children, which I'll be able to partake of in about 3 months :) I love my life to so that which would be pleasing unto God, not man. M father-in-law has something He says all of the time and it stuck with me "Man's Plans Garbage Cans." I completely agree, no better place for them.
