Speaking Louder Than Before

What if you knew that today was your last chance to testify to others? This was a question that surfaced today during our church service. It was an amazing service and I thank God for sending His spirit to be with us and for this question.

To many times I have sat in my seat when I felt my Lord asking me to follow Him. Even during this service the Lord said stand and proclaim what I have shown you… and I did not. Recently my God revealed something to me in His word and I thought WOW! It had to do with faith and I thought if we all just had faith that strong we would all be more blessed than before. That is how we reach others by obeying. Here is the scripture I am referring to.

Luke 7:1-10

  1. Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
  2. And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.
  3. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.
  4. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:
  5. For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
  6. Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:
  7. Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.
  8. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
  9. When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
  10. And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

That is so true still today. Why don’t we have that much faith in Jesus? The reason I did not stand up and proclaim what He had shown me was because I did not know exactly where this scripture was so I tried to find it real fast and before I knew it that opportunity was gone… I should have just moved on faith knowing He would have shown where in time. Now this is another failed attempt I must live with and ask forgiveness for. Why are we so hesitant to stand up for Him when He asks. Lucky for myself, the Lord did not take from me the spirit I was feeling even though I did not react on my faith and I do believe He did not becasue when I realized what had happened I asked Him to forgive me for not allowing myself to react on faith. That is one thing we all need to do when we realize we have done wrong. We must repent and ask for His forgiveness.

Then the question was revealed by God through the preacher. What if this was the last chance I had to show others how God had changed me or shown me would I react more instantly? WOW that is exactly what I needed to hear!

Good message

This is a good message for us all to think about.  Even though it can be hard, we just need to remember what Jesus went through for us and ask Him for the strength and courage to do His will.
