right and wrongs
I was doing some thinking today about rights and wrongs. What I came up with was that if you disagree with something, you can always find something wrong and make you right(does that make it right or the truth?). If not a right and wrong situation (i.e. logic) than you can find something that you can disagree with or one reason not to like it.
Than I started thinking about how hard life is. You won’t win sometimes no matter how hard you try…does that mean you stop trying? Does it? I guess it matter how strongly you feel about the subject you’re talking about. I feel my openness about my faith really rubs people the wrong way. My mom told me this that she heard from an old pastor, “always preach the gospel and if necessary use words…”. Wow that hit me hard with how much I agreed with it. I don’t think having shirts, stickers on my car, my tattoo, the loud screaming Christian music, or the things in my room is with that means. Having these things is awesome and is being open and sharing. (Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses -1 Timothy 6:12) It’s how you act. Do you offer to help someone even if they don’t look like they need it, do you smile and look welcoming, or are you friendly and show kindness to others? (Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD-NIV Leviticus 19:18) Ask yourself would you want someone to do these things for you? Why do some people want to be mean and hurtful? Was someone mean or hurtful to them first? Why do some people seem to only want to hurt others not like them? Is the hurt greater to you or them? If you hurt them back it will make you feel better, but for how long? Until someone/thing hurts you again. We need to break the cycle. You can find something to disagree with what I just said or it...
