He Changed Me

Why is it that so many people think we will all die and then go to Heaven because we were overall a "good" person??  Needless to say that is not how it is going to work and states that very clearly in the Bible.  The following are just a few passages that address this topic.  It's obviously not "politically correct", "nice", "loving" or "comforting" to accept the fact that many of us are destined to HELL for an eternity, but that is the truth of the matter.

Please read the following and think about it all for just a second!

 

“Very Few Will Enter Heaven”

 

 Matthew 7:13-14   13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.

 

Matthew 7:21-23   21"Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, `I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

 

Luke 13:22-30   22Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. 23Someone asked him, "Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?"

He said to them, 24"Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. 25Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, `Sir, open the door for us.'

"But he will answer, `I don't know you or where you come from.'

26"Then you will say, `We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'

27"But he will reply, `I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

28"There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. 29People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.30Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last."

 

Matthew 19:22-26   23Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."  25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, "Who then can be saved?"   26Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."  

 

“Good Morals Alone Do Not Get Us Into Heaven”

 

Rev. 21:27   Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.
