Best Birthday Present EVER

About 1 year ago on my birthday I received a call from some medical test that I had done. The call was something short and to the point that I had Lymphoma. Wow what a birthday present. I was stunned, confused and then I got a little mad but not for long because God had given me a wonderful Christian wife that reminded me who was in control.
 
I decided that I was going into this straight ahead and every step was going to TOTALLY relying on God. I thought I did pretty well in the past but I usually gave my Savior 90% and I kept 10% so I could mess things up.
 
As I went back after more testing I walked into the doctors office and announced to them that before they read the test results on what stage of Cancer I was in that the test results would show nothing and that Jesus Christ healed me. The look on their face was priceless. The Oncologist looked at me and smiled and said I was correct that nothing could be detected. I was overwhelmed with his spirit. They then said that I still had to do Chemo. I agreed and told them someone back there needs to hear about Jesus Christ and told them that during this I was willing to anything that was asked of me.
 
My treatments were 1 time every 3 weeks and 1 treatment lasted 9 hours. What a great opportunity for me to witness. I had a captive audience that could not run since they were hooked up to the IV medicine just as I was. They told me the Chemo would make me very sick and I would lose my hair. God came through again. I never got sick one time and did not miss a day of work. They have a lot of medicine to combat the nausea. God is awesome.  I did lose my hair but that just made me better looking.
 
I went through 4 sessions of the Chemo out of the scheduled 6 that I was supposed to get. While in Chemo I had the most wonderful time of my life with the Lord. I got to pray with people I would of never got to meet. One of the workers started going to Church. 
 
One day I was there and a grumpy elderly lady asked me if I was reading the Bible. I looked at her and said yes. She started saying that she had heard that God would not give us more than we can handle and how she was sick. I asked her if she would like me to read some to her and she looked at me astounded. I quoted to her Luke 1:37 which is “For with God nothing shall be impossible” and then I read I Corinthians 10:13 “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” After reading this to her she thanked me smiled and said she had never had the Bible read to her before and her grumpiness turned to happiness. God is awesome!!!!
 
Well I could go on and on with great things that God did through this and continues to do in my life. I can definitely say that Cancer was the best birthday gift I have ever gotten and I praise God for all his strength through the whole thing. 
 
It has been 6 months since the last treatment and just got my latest test results and there is still nothing to be found. I am sure I am leaving more out but just thought I would share a little of God’s miracles.

Todd,
Thanks for telling us your story.  It's a great reminder for all of us to just trust in God's plan.  I'm glad you included the part in the beginning about how you got mad until your wife reminded you about who was in control.  Our first reaction may be of the flesh, but we don't have to stick with it, do we?

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing story. I love hearing Christian's giving God praise for what He does for each of us. This was truly a miracle and just shows that if we have faith all things are possible. He is the same God and nothing is impossible. My brother says he loves it when someone says that is impossible, because when God provides then we can say NOTHING is impossible through God.

Truly remarkable story and a true testament of how you can turn a 'bad' situation into one that brings Glory to God!  I love how you Declared to the doctors prior to them reading your results, that Jesus had already healed you!!!  AMEN!  I have seen God do the exact same thing to a Pastor at my church who was diagnosed with cancer on a Tuesday afternoon and given word on Friday that NO SIGNS of cancer existed any more!
