While reading a few days ago about a dear friend of mine in Tonga, he mentioned that during the Christmas season they would miss their family back home. My heart sank. Every Christmas I look forward to hanging with family, eating all the goodies that's laid out at each location we stop by. I understood that this must be hard for them. I Wished them a happy Christmas and prepared to read the Christmas story in Luke to my family.

In October 2010, I began to learn what God thinks about this kind of thinking. At that time I was informed I was being let go at my job due to economic hardships. I know this is hardly a rare occurrence these days, but I want to share how the Lord used this as a new beginning and a teaching experience for me.
Read more of this storyGood Friday morning 2011, was basically the same as many other Good Friday mornings over the years. We followed the plan to attend the service in our home church, and looked forward to it, and looked forward to worshipping and being ministered to.
During the time of worship through song, the Presence of our Lord Jesus in the Person of His Spirit kept growing stronger.
I am unable to even remember the songs that were sung, but the message of the songs, as well as the personal message from the Holy Spirit remained with me.
