Traveling, broke, no food, need kindness, God bless

Need kindness… What an AMAZING story I have for you all! God knows EXACTLY what He's doing and we need to be ready for every instance He is trying to use us. On December 6^th God chose us to be apart of an AWESOME turn of events. Here is how it started…

Church service was amazing and God sent an incredible message to PD to share with us all. The subject of the message was about Jesus asking His Father to bless the loaves of bread and fish that the disciples was about to give out to the 5k men. AMAZING story in the Bible, and even better once you realize that the miracle happened after the disciples were faithful in what Jesus had asked of them. God is truly AMAZING!

After service my wife and I went to say hello to our friend and pastor PD. While we were talking PD said, “Hey you want this loaf of bread? It was left over from the services, an extra.” Of course I am not one to turn down food so I said sure! I could always eat some bread on the way home.

My wife and I proceeded to our car and headed towards my grandmother’s place. On the way there we talked about how blessed we are that God sent us to this church. We have grown so MUCH since we have been going there. God is using so many people there to reach others and it is AWESOME to see them all so willing to follow Him. During our conversation I decided not to take my usual route and soon I would come to find out why.

I proceeded to the next exit and during our entrance onto state route 28 I noticed an individual on the other side of the bypass holding a sign… I immediately thought of the bread which was given to us. I turned to my wife and asked her if she saw what that sign said? She did not… so I turned around and asked my wife to read what the individual had wrote on the sign… if it said they were hungry then we both knew why that loaf of bread was given to us.

We headed back towards the individual under the bypass and I immediately turned right and was asking my wife, “Did you see what the sign said?”… No answer, I asked again… no answer… I then looked at my wife and tears were rolling down her face, I knew I had to stop. We pulled over and I asked her what did the sign say Honey? She replied, “Traveling, broke, no food, need kindness, God bless.” She then reached back and grabbed the bread and the few dollars we had on us. We knew this is why God had PD give us the bread. I continued out to the individual and heard a whistle from behind me… I did not look at that moment and continued to the gentlemen under the bypass. I handed him the bread, a few bucks and said God bless you. Once I turned I noticed a lady on the other side holding an indentical sign…

I proceeded back into the car and told my wife about the other young lady. As we pulled away I knew they were cold and that God had placed us in this exact moment to help out how we could. We did not have a way to help them travel but I knew that we could help their hunger and maybe warm them up some so we pulled into KFC and bought a bucket of chicken and some sides. We turned around and my wife proceded out of the car with the bag to hand the young lady. I wish I could share with you the smile I saw on that young ladies face… AMAZING! The young lady told my wife that they were trying to get to Summerset KY, they have no food, no jobs, and no money… but they had family out there. The lady was so thankful for what we gave her and her husband.

It just goes to show that God knows EXACTLY what He's doing. He knew that if He asked PD to give us that bread he would! He knew that He could get me to change my route and that my wife and I would not ignore the individual on the road! He knew that we would have compassion for them but glorify Him (God) for the opportunity!

Viewer’s this is EXACTLY what we all need to be doing daily! Not just during the Christmas season but ALL the time. It is so true that what we have is not ours… it is Gods! Give it to who He asks us to.

In regards to the individuals on the road… don’t worry about them. God sent us to help give them food and warmth and He will send another behind us to give them the ride they need. How do I know this you ask…? He is God and He knows EXACTLY what He's doing!

Thank you PD for showing kindness to us… FREE bread, you could have kept it for yourself... but as those individual’s signs read, “Need kindness” your kindness blessed those two individuals. You are an AWESOME worker for God!

We all can be AWESOME workers for God! A lof of the times we don't even realize what God is doing but He knows. Let’s start being more about God and less about ourselves.
