The Path (part V)

I hope you all had an AWESOME CHRISTmas and welcome into 2010! It has been some time since I wrote last and I want to continue sharing with you all The Path God has me on. Last time I shared with you the dream God gave me about work while I was on vacation and if you have not read it I recommend you do (The Path part IV). Let's continue…

The next day I went back to work and waited to be called into the office. My boss asked if we could meet at 3:30 and I said sure. The devil was trying to get me worked up but he could NOTJ During lunch I prayed and prayed to God that He would be with me during this meeting. I needed support because I did not want to feel that I was all alone by myself and I continued to remember the verse God showed me in Acts18:9-10

3:30 arrived and I was asked to come into the office. When I went in I carried two things, a notepad and my Bible. (Remember that I just arrived back from vacation with my family.) We all sat down and my boss began to speak. She started to explain to me how she would love to have more time with her child… this was not what I was expecting and it did not come from my time on vacation… so I immediately interrupted and stated, “I want to inform you all that what I am doing has NOTHING to do with anyone BUT GOD”. Then the whole conversation turned in a way ONLY God could have done!

My boss pulled out a small sheet of paper, looked at me and said, “I want to share with you what God showed me last night.” She told me that when she left work last night she was upset and went to church angry and sad about my letter. Once she was in church the Lord started speaking to her so she wrote down what He was telling her… first note: Brian is not the enemy… second note: Brian has to do what I have called him to do… third note: Now is the time for harvest… These are only a few of the notes read but it goes to show that GOD is in control! My boss then said to me that they were going to consider that letter my letter of resignation… WOW God told me that I would NOT have to say I quit (confirmation again)… my work wanted to support me in my decision and while God put everything in order not to worry about my job that I had one till it was time to go. NOW if that is NOT God what is! The rest of the meeting they asked me to share everything that God was doing and I gratefully did.

This was on a Wednesday evening and my wife and I had not gone to a Wednesday service yet. However, I knew that we had to go that night. God was telling me that He had more He wanted to show me tonight and I had to go. We did and God never ceases to AMAZE me!

The service was a prayer service and our Pastor PD spoke about gifts God gives us which are something I had been studying recently. After he taught we went into deep prayer and while I was praying I asked God what are my gifts? I know I play bass, build websites, you have called me to preach but what are my gifts… Then He told me… Boldness and Compassion… those are your gifts. Ha I thought, ok I can see the boldness… maybe… but compassion… God, You sure about this???

After my prayer with God PD saw me and came over. He said, “Brian what happened at work…” I did not want to go into much detail because I did not want to interfere with anyone’s prayer so I simply told him… God happened! PD then took me by my hand and said “Brian I would like your wife and you to meet someone. This person has a gift… God gives this person visions.” I thought ok… why not… when we sat down I said to myself, “God this is way new to me and you say to test You… well I don’t know for sure if this is real but You know what I need answers to… if this is real then please give me the answers.”

This lady then took my wife and my hand and began to pray… then she paused… looked at me and said, “God has blessed you with gifts… the gift of Boldness and Compassion but you have not fully accepted it yet.” WOW that broke me! ONLY God knew this because He just tried to tell me this while I was praying! She continued and said, “I see a sword in your hand, God is preparing you and He wants you to know that you have the full armor on.” That was something else I had been reading on and wondering about. She continued and shared some things with my wife that she saw and these were AMAZING too but my wife can share that with you if she chooses. There was still one last thing I needed an answer for… God is this relocation thing correct… The lady looked at my wife and me at the end and said, “God gives me visions but the meaning behind them and I want you all to know that sometimes people bless others with trips or vacations… maybe someone wants to bless you both with a trip… but I see a suitcase…” I smiled big at my wife and she smiled at me… The lady then said, “You know don’t you? Do you mind to share?” So we did and she said “Yep you both will be moving here! Don’t worry about things though, God is preparing it at the time and when it is time we will know.”

AMAZING isn’t it! The way God is in control and I know He is going to continue to use us for the rest of our life and that is ALL we want. As I stated before there is more to this story because it continues today… Please keep posted and I will share more with you later.
